At Vernon Salsa, we believe dance is more than just music and fancy footwork: it’s about connection, confidence, and community.

Our mission is to bring the vibrant rhythms of salsa and bachata to the Okanagan and create a space where dancers of all levels can feel at home.

​

"Vernon Salsa started in 2023 after moving from Calgary to Vernon in 2021. Originally from Mexico City, I’ve always carried Latin rhythms in my heart. When I arrived here, I missed dance deeply and couldn’t find a salsa community to join, so I started one." 

What began with a small group has grown into Salsa Ladies Styling classes (beginner and intermediate), our first performance team launched in 2025, and even Bachata Baby, a program where moms can dance and bond with their little ones.

With over 15 years of training and performance experience across Canada and abroad, including learning from world-renowned artists like Tania Cannarsa and Paulina Posadas, I bring both passion and expertise to every class.

This community is only possible because of the incredible students, supportive friends, and my beloved family who have believed in this vision and continue to make it grow.

Today, Vernon Salsa is proud to be building a scene that attracts dancers from across the Okanagan. Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time or looking to challenge yourself on stage, you’ll find a welcoming space to move, connect, and belong.
